"Lara" was the result of a half-brother/half-sister mating being line bred to the famous Ch. Quentin de la Baraque de Planches.

Whilst being at the lower end of the standard in height (22½") "Lara" more than made up in her overall quality and type coupled with her exceptional movement.  To quote a judge who awarded her Best of Breed at an Open Show in the beginning of 1982.  "She makes a pretty picture of the breed, if she were only a size bigger all round she could make the top.  Still she can do a lot of winning and who knows her quality could overcome her lack of stature"

It certainly did!  By July of 1982 "Lara" had gained her title and went on to win a total of 8 CC's and 5 Reserve CC's taking the eye of All-Rounders, Breed Specialists and Continental Judges alike.
